Sales Of Clothing And Footwear Dropped Sharply In Sweden In May
Thailand's commerce ministry recently released data showing that Thailand's durian exports increased steadily in the first 4 months of this year. Industry pointed out that the new crown disease did not affect the export of Thailand durian, which is mainly due to the strong demand in China.
Data show that in the first 4 months of this year, Thailand durian exports amounted to US $788 million, an increase of 30% over the same period last year, of which exports to China amounted to US $567 million, up 78% over the same period last year. In 2019, the total export volume of Thailand durian was US $1 billion 465 million, and China was one of its main export markets.
In recent years, driven by huge demand in the Chinese market, Thailand durian export prices have risen. According to local growers, a few years ago, the price of Thailand durian was 1 kilograms of 60 to 80 baht (1 US dollars, or 30 baht). Now it has risen to 1 kg 100 to 130 baht.
Thailand Kai Tai Research Center believes that the development of cross-border e-commerce provides new opportunities for Thailand to expand exports. According to the briefing, only in from June 1st to 7th, Thailand sold 140 thousand durian, 320 thousand coconut green and 3 million 900 thousand mangosteen products through the Alibaba e-commerce channel.
Zhu Lin, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Commerce of Thailand, has introduced Chinese fruit such as durian, mangosteen and mango to Chinese consumers through live webcast. Zhu Lin said that the potential of cross-border electricity cooperation between Thailand and China is huge, and we hope more Chinese consumers will support Thailand products.
